Fiverr has been one of the most popular freelance websites on the market for 7+ years. It has operates in 160 countries with over 5.5M people starts and grows their business just by using this website. This makes it a well-known one among freelance websites as it offers almost everything from simple editing to an intricate designing.
I placed Fiverr as the first of freelance websites is due to its flexibility. It has about 200 different categories that the beginners can try. Accordingly, you can offer a service of retouch an image for $5, and people might buy your service.
When I first came across any freelance websites, I felt quite nervous because there’s a lot of categories as I thought “Nah, it only needs a professional to do the works, not a beginner like me”. But, trust me, once you can get a client, you will feel very, very happy.
How to get started:
- Go to Fiverr website, and click on ‘Become a Seller‘ on the top left of menus.
- Sign up as it is totally free.
- Set up your gig with creative intros and you’re off with a global audience.
- Place your price for the gig work accordingly, starts from $5 to $1000.
- You will get a notification for order.
- Chat with your customer for more information.
And the best thing, you will get paid 80% of the total order value directly into your bank account once you’ve completed your client’s order.
Based on the Terms and Condition of Fiverr, you will be able to withdraw the money after 14 days of the order is marked as completed, and the waiting period for Top Rated Sellers is 7 days. This is due to any unfortunate events, such as the client is dissatisfied and wants a refund.
Besides that, you also can withdraw once per 24 hours or in one day with a maximum transaction of $5,000. Let say; you want to draw the balance in your seller account, you can transfer to your Paypal account, credit your Fiverr Revenue Card, or transfer money to your bank account (‘Direct Deposit’ in the U.S.). There will be a fee for currency conversion.
Just for a reminder for a better service;
In any freelance website, you have to make sure your seller profile is thoroughly complete, and your gig is creatively written. Describe all your services together with one or more examples of your work to look more convincing. Good luck!!
